Tata Tiago NRG will soon have CNG option
Aunty Tiago Officially teased NRG CNG version, launching soon. As we all know, the NRG is the sturdiest version of the Tiago hatchback. This variant was not yet available with factory fitted CNG.
To provide more options for CNG buyers in the country, the automaker is set to introduce the Tiago NRG with its iCNG technology. Currently, the Tiago iCNG is available in 5 variants while the Tigor iCNG is available in 3 variants.
Other than the new powertrain option, we don’t think there will be any new features or cosmetic updates to the Tiago NRG iCNG. In the official teaser, the car looks exactly the same.
The Tiago NRG is currently offered in two variants – XT and XZ. We believe the CNG option will be offered with both variants.
The NRG trim comes with a higher 181mm ground clearance, rugged cladding, black roof with rails, fake skid plate, charcoal black interior, 14-inch alloys, and more.
The regular Tiago CNG is powered by a naturally aspirated 1.2-liter petrol engine that produces 73.4 hp at 6000 rpm and 95 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm in CNG mode. In petrol mode, it offers 86 hp and 113 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
We believe the Tiago NRG will have the same specifications as the iCNG.
